Aseelah speaks about Fantasia's new CD

Fandash: What is the biggest thing you're looking forward to on the new CD?

Aseelah: The biggest thing I'm looking forward to seeing is the world witnessing Fantasia evolve as an artist. She's matured a lot as an artist and has had a lot of control over the vocal arrangements for the new songs. Her voice texture and tone is ridiculous and I really believe that her fans will be pleased.

Fandash: You've got quite the voice! Are you considering putting out any solo joints in the future?

Aseelah: Thanks for the compliment!! Yes!! I've been working on some of my own material. Ricco and Tamara have been working hard as well!!! I'm just so proud of everybody because Tasia has so much talent behind her and she pushes us to be the best!!

Fandash: That's awesome! Did you or Fantasia get a chance to write for this (2nd) CD?

Aseelah: Fantasia definitely has had a lot of input on this next album. So far Ricco and Tamara have written songs on the album. I love the fact that the world will see how talented they really are.

Fandash: We're looking forward to it! As fans, one thing we love is the way you guys rework the songs live in concert. How do you come up with the ad-libs and the extended versions and different takes on songs?

Aseelah: Ricco has a great ear for music! So we might be rehearsing and he'll hear something in his head and tell us to try it. When it comes together it works! We've become such a family that we can feel each other and know vocally what direction we want to go in.

Fandash: That's great! Can you describe how you met Fantasia the first time and what she was like?

Aseelah: Fantasia was a little girl singing Quartet with her family and I was a little girl singing with my brother's gospel choir. We both were like the main vocalists in our groups. People use to be amazed that these two little girls could sing with so much power. Our paths never crossed much unless we were in church. I use to hear her sing and I was like whew this girl can saaannngg!!! And she use to hear me and felt the same way.

Fandash: That's so cute! So tell us, are there any big surprises for the next CD that you can hint at?

Aseelah: Fantasia has called on some Dirty South rappers to put their thing down on some songs. All I can say is get ready this album is going to be crazy!

Fandash: Uh-oh! Look out! Okay, besides singing, what is your favorite thing to do with Fantasia?

Aseelah: When me and Tay get together its a guaranteed good time. I love chilling at the house with the whole family because there is never a dull moment. We laugh hard, we party hard, we eat great food! Everybody likes to come over!! I also like the times when we just chill and watch movies. When we don't see each other for a while we definitely miss each other and can't wait to hang out again!!

Fandash: Are you appearing in the Lifetime movie?

Aseelah: Yes!! I did a little something in the church scene! It was amazing to see how a movie is made! I was so proud of Tay because she worked so hard and impressed so many veteran actors with her acting skills.
